What an exciting time for the London Borough of Bromley with works picking up pace, as another key site is chosen for the development of new homes.
The Anerley Town Hall overflow car park is the 2nd project we are involved with, as the Bromley Council open some of their key sites to provide more ‘Bromley homes for Bromley People’.
As with many housing associations, the mounting pressures of sourcing temporary accommodation within the borough is becoming increasingly more challenging.
The London Borough of Bromley are seeking to increase the number of temporary and permanent homes whilst simultaneously reducing the financial challenge of temporary accommodation costs. With an increase of around 15 new temporary accommodation cases per month, local families in need are having to be housed outside of the Borough and in less than adequate living conditions. Building their own developments for temporary accommodation will keep spiralling costs down and also keep Bromley people in Bromley homes.
Awarded to us through the LHC NH2 framework, this project will see 10 new homes built with MMC, completed by the winter of 2021.
Leveraging the benefits of MMC allows the council to build in the most efficient, affordable and sustainable way for generations and with the certainty they need.
